Beanie Weenies (aka Franks and Beans) are a longstanding New England traditional Saturday night supper. My grandmother would make the baked beans and the brown bread that was served with them from scratch. I've got both of those recipes and look forward to sharing them with you some day.

January dragged on forever and February passed in a blink and here we are celebrating Muffin Monday again! I emptied out my freezer and 5 bags of various amounts of frozen bananas so I knew today's recipe would be banana based.

  Burnt out on tacos and beef stroganoff sandwiches so I went looking for some new ideas on my Pinterest boards.  It's been ages since we've had sloppy Joes so I added the ingredients for these sliders to my pickup list. 

  I've been trying to increase my protein intake along with expanding my breakfast choices. I found these Super Protein Pancakes on the King Arthur Baking Company website and slightly adapted them to my taste.

  One of the things I do every January is empty my cabinets and take an inventory and then search out recipes for things I need to use up.  This time around it was some dried cherries so I headed to Taste of Home. This recipe actually calls for raisins but I knew it would be an easy switch.

Or in this case, Gingerbread Birthday Log! Who says gingerbread is only for the holidays? Not me, I love it year-round! For several years I've had a rolled cake on my culinary bucket list and when I was searching for something to make for my birthday this recipe from Taste of Home caught my eye.
