When I was younger, martinis seemed like such a cool, sophisticated drink. When I was old enough to actually order one the traditional version just wasn't my thing. I ran across Clara M's Coffee & Cream Martini on the Taste of Home site and it had my name all over it.
The first thing you want to do is rim the glasses. The recipe has you combine sugar and coffee, but I already had some Eastern Standard Provisions Chocolate Espresso Sugar on hand.
Place the sugar in a shallow plate or bowl. Dip the edge of the glass into some water and then into the sugar. I patted it gently to made sure it adhered.
I decided to go with the "shaken, not stirred" method. I filled a cocktail shaker halfway with ice and then added the Kahlua, Tito's and Bailey's. I shook it for about a minute and then strained it into the glasses.
