Beat the heat with our most popular cool treats!

Temps in the 90s for several days straight has me looking for some treats to beat the heat, so I've gathered up some of our most popular cool treats to share with you today!

You might be wondering, what the heck is an affogato?  In Italian, affogato means "drowned," and in the case of the dessert, you are drowning gelato or ice cream with a shot of coffee or espresso.

These are the perfect dessert when you want something sweet but don't want to bake. You can top them with honey or chocolate sauce (or both, we won't judge!).

Whether you use homemade strawberry ice cream or store bought this float is like summer in a glass!

Caramelized bananas plus a variety of outstanding toppings takes this classic dessert to a whole new level!

I am a huge fan of iced coffee, I drink it pretty much year round.  I didn't think there would be a way to improve on it, but then I discovered this recipe!

I sock rhubarb away in the freezer until strawberry season to make these simple and flavorful popsicles.

This one's my husband's creation and we've been enjoying it for over 20 years now!  Vanilla ice cream, Baileys Irish Cream and a touch of chocolate and mint.

I love any excuse to break out the ice cream attachment.  Save a couple scoops for the Strawberry Patch Floats that are posted above!

Enjoy the campfire treat in drinkable form.  Break out the kitchen torch and make sure to get those marshmallows toasty!

From scratch lemonade is the base for this fruity treat. It's also great with strawberries, blueberries, blackberries or a combinations of them all!

In New England, we'd call this a frappe because it has milk and ice cream.  No matter what you call it, it's absolutely delicious!

Lovely layers of Oreo cake and two kinds of ice cream. This is our go to summer birthday cake and you can change it up all kinds of ways with all the fun flavors of Oreos now.

Cheesecake ice cream base with graham cracker crumbs and blueberry swirl. I have a hard time not just eating the whole thing straight from the container, it's that good!

Kids will love how the candy crackles and fizzes and as the soda mixes with the ice cream and candy it creates beautiful pops of color.

Copycat Dunkin Donuts Egg White & Veggie Omelet Bites

I'm a huge fan of the Dunkin Donuts Power Breakfast sandwich, so when I started seeing ads for the new Egg White & Veggie Omelet Bites I stopped in and gave them a try.  They were delicious, but of course, I knew I could make them at home.

    Stuffed Waffles

I wasn't sure I was going to blog these stuffed waffles since it was the first time I tried using the new iron but since I'd already taken the pics as I went I figured, why not? They aren't perfect but they are delicious!

Copycat Dunkin Donuts Bacon and Cheddar Omelet Bites

Since I already came up with a version of Dunkin Donuts new Egg White & Veggie Omelet Bites for myself, I decided to make the other variety that they are offering, Bacon & Cheddar, for my husband.
